What is Municipal Engineering?

Engineering Communities

Fresh, clean drinking water is one of life’s necessities. As you take a sip, do you ever wonder how it came to pour from your tap in such a continuous flow? Thanks to municipal infrastructure, homes that are connected to these series of pipes and drainage systems are reaping the many benefits of municipal water services. The design and construction of these systems is called Municipal Engineering.

Much of these systems go unnoticed because they are buried underground, working out of view to provide us with these amenities. Much like our own bodies, infrastructure is the blood and veins of living communities -- supplying us with the crystal clear convenience of running toilets and clean drinking water by working deep beneath the surface.
