Intermediate or Senior Linear Engineer

As the Linear Engineer you will be responsible for the design of water/wastewater and other infrastructure construction projects, such as large municipal water mains and sewers. 
Your primary focus will be designing of municipal infrastructure projects such as; linear infrastructure, water mains, sewers, trenchless technologies, regional road and intersection design. Responsible for the design of new and/or reconstruction of linear water and wastewater projects (large diameter feedermains and sewers), as well as the preparation of servicing reports, cost estimates, work programs, proposals and other administrative duties.  
Level of responsibility will be based on level of experience as a Linear Engineer.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of municipal infrastructure design for Public Sector projects.
  • Familiarity with planning/approval process
  • Strong understanding of AutoCAD, Civil 3D and/or MicroStation
  • PMP Certification (or working towards )is an asset
  • Professional Engineer designation in Ontario
  • Knowledge and application of Ontario Environmental standards and guidelines.
  • Large watermain and/or sewer design experience for GTA Regional Municipalities
  • Trenchless Technologies
  • Regional Road and intersection design would be considered beneficial
  • Design of public sector municipal servicing projects under the direction of one of our Senior Project Managers.
  • Actively participate in the design and provide direction to  the design team throughout the design process
  • Liaise with the various municipal/utility/approval agencies. 
  • Be responsible for project schedules and client communications.
  • Actively participate on our multi-disciplinary project team to undertake major water/wastewater infrastructure projects
  • Apply proven design experience including conceptual, preliminary and detailed designs for municipal infrastructure projects including: wastewater, water resources, design, engineer, sewers, water mains, water main, feedermains
  • Mentor junior engineers and technologists
  • Contribute to RFP, Bid and Proposal documents
